BIGUS, Ernest – Passed away peacefully at home with his wife Laurel by his side on Wednesday April 5th, 2023. Mr. Ernie Bigus of Simcoe formerly of Vienna in his 69th year. Dear son of Ilona Bigus and the late John Bigus. Beloved husband of Laurel. Loving father of Eden Ratcliffe and his wife Jaime. Admired Papa to Robert, Alexis, James, Madison, Robert Jace and Jackson. Cherished brother to Hilda D’Alessandro and her husband Robert. Uncle to Frances (Freed) and Paul. Great Uncle to Alessandra and Clara. Ernie will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends. Ernie was the Owner/Operator of Twin Oaks Campground. At Ernie’s request cremation has taken place. There will be a private family visitation and service at the Ferris Funeral Home, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe (519-426-1314). Reverend Brian Elder officiating. A public Celebration of Life will be held in Port Burwell at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to any animal charity or the Nature Conservancy of Canada. Online condolences may be made at www.ferrisfuneral.com
