It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Pottier who passed away on April 1st, after a battle with cancer. Jean is survived by his loving wife, Sandra and his daughter Megan (Jean David), his mother Michelyne, his father Paul, his sister (Julie), his brother-in-law Sylvain (Kerri) and his nieces Charlotte and Gabby, as well as his nephew Matthew.
Co-founder of Ottawa Enforcer (1986) he leaves his bandmate brothers John, Frank, Dan and his great friend Dean along with the music community he adored. Jean worked over 30 years in telecommunications. A career that took him all over the world. His passing has brought us immeasurable grief that could never truly be expressed. To have known him was an honor and privilege.
Our thoughts are filled forever with the memory of a talented, kind, and generous soul.
The family would like to express its gratitude to his Ottawa General Hospital medical team along with Bayshore HealthCare staff for their dedication and kindness throughout Jean’s illness.
In his memory, donations may be made to the Ottawa Humane Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Orléans on Friday, April 7th, 2023 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with words of remembrance at 4 p.m.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Jean Pottier le 1er avril, suite à sa lutte contre le cancer. Il laisse sa bien-aimée, son épouse, Sandra ; sa fille, Megan (Jean-David) ; ,sa mère (Michelyne) ; son père (Paul) ; sa sœur (Julie) ; son beau-frère Sylvain (Kerri) ; ses nièces Charlotte et Gabby, ainsi que son neveu Matthew.
Un membre fondateur du groupe Ottawa Enforcer (1986). Il laisse dans le deuil ses confrères John, Frank et Dan ainsi que son grand ami Dean et la communauté musicale qu’il adorait. Il a œuvré dans le milieu des télécommunications pendant plus de 30 ans. Un métier qu’il a exercé dans plusieurs pays. Le départ de Jean laisse un grand vide dans nos vies. L’avoir connu est un privilège.
Le souvenir d’un être gentil, talentueux et généreux est gravé à jamais dans nos pensées.
La famille tient à remercier son équipe médicale de l’hôpital générale d’Ottawa ainsi que l’équipe de Bayshore HealthCare qui ont été attentionnées et bienveillantes tout au long de sa maladie.
En sa mémoire, des dons peuvent être faits à la S.P.A.Ottawa ou à la Société canadienne du cancer.
La famille recevra parents et amis au Complexe funéraire Héritage, 1250, ch. Trim, Orléans, le vendredi 7 avril 2023 de 15h à 18h avec des témoignages d’affection à 16h.
