Rita Léger, 80, of Dieppe and formerly of Shediac,
passed away on Monday March 27, 2023 at her residence. Born in
Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Sifroid and Imelda
(Johnson) Léger.
Prior to her retirement, Rita was a secretary at Colonial
Construction.
She is survived by one sister, Rosella McGraw (late Ulysse)
of Cormier-Village; seven brothers: Mgr. Ernest of Vankleek, ON,
Camille (Clémence) of Cormier-Village, Ola (Nathalie) of
Shediac; Omer (Blanche) of Halifax, NS, Onile (Jeannette) of Moncton,
Eric of Dieppe, and Roger (Maria) of Moncton; as well as several
nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers:
Emerie (Rose) and Donald (Annette).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297) on Monday
April 3 from 9:30 to 10:40 am. The funeral mass will be celebrated on
Monday April 3 at 11 am in the Sacré-Coeur R.C. Church, 944
Route 933, Haute-Aboujagane. Interment will be in parish cemetery. In
memory of Rita, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology)
would be appreciated.
