Morey, Debra (nee Boyer)
Peacefully at home on Saturday December 31, 2022, after a long battle that was fought with unmeasurable strength and fierce determination.
Survived by her husband Richard, and her three girls, Sonya (Scott Kelso), Leslie (Brian Todd) and Heather (Daryl Cota). Granny will forever be in the hearts of her grandchildren, Steven Cornelius, Megan Hart (Jordan), Zachary Cota and Shanna Todd and all the great grandchildren Bentley, Violet, Faith, Mason, Chase, Ben, Reid, Lily and Jordan, they always put a smile on her face. Cherished sister in law of Donna Boyer and remembered by the extended Morey family. Predeceased by her parents, James Leo (DeeDee) and Myrtle Boyer, brother Reginald Boyer, sister Carol (late Gerald) Morey and great grandson Noah.
Heartfelt thanks go to all those who supported us to honor her wishes to remain at home including neighbours Shawn and Edwin, friends Tammy and Penny and all her caregivers, especially Cheryl, Petrina, Laura, Lisa and Brian. Special thanks to Megan Conboy, Sarah McMartin, and Dr. Kondor for their unwavering support and Christine from Clinical trials at the Cancer Centre.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Wartman Funeral Home, 980 Collins Bay Road, Kingston on Friday January 6th from 1pm to 3pm with some sharing of memories at 2:30pm. You are invited to wear your favorite team’s jersey as Deb loved her Maple Leafs and Blue Jays and rarely missed a televised game. In lieu of flowers Deb requested that donations be made to either Diabetes Canada Kids Camps or the Patient Comfort Fund for the Amputee Clinic at Providence Care in honor of the fabulous care she received.
