Obituary
With his family at his side in the early morning of Sunday, March 19, 2023, Rodger King passed away in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Horton) for 42 years. Loved father of Nicole (Matt) Fowler and Stephanie (Clayton) Procter. Proud Poppa to Claire, Annie, Katie, Sarah, and Kacey. Survived by his mother Nancy; and his siblings Louise (John) and Chris. Predeceased by his father Andrew.
Rodger was the definition of generous, always putting others needs ahead of his own.
His family meant everything to him. His favourite place was sitting on the porch at the cottage watching the hummingbirds with his granddaughters.
Both a student and teacher he loved engaging in conversations on a wide variety of topics. Although sometimes one couldn’t be sure if he knew what he was talking about.
He loved working with his hands and was a McIver at heart, often finding uniquely creative ways to solve everyday problems.
The thing he might be most renowned for was his delicious dinners and blasting his music in the kitchen.
There are no words to describe the loss Rodger’s family and friends feel.
“Rodg, we will work every day to honour your memory”
A visitation will be held at the Art Gallery of Burlington on Saturday, April 1st from 3-5PM.
