It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad and Papa, Harold ‘Keith’ Bround at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on March 22, 2023 at the age of 92.
Born on October 21, 1930 to the late Ernest and Annie (Nan) Bround. Keith is predeceased by all of his siblings, brothers Earl, Gordon and Jerry and his sister Dorothy.
Cherished and loving Dad to Brad Bround, Susie Towsley (Bruce) and Lori Violot (Todd). The best and proudest Papa to Andrew MacEwen (Jocelyn), Scott Violot (Adam)and Graham Violot.
Keith was predeceased by the love of his life, Gloria, in 1993 and his second wife Dolores in 2012. Survived by his special friend Sally McGregor.
Keith was also a special Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Keith worked at Watson Concrete until his retirement and was fortunate enough to be retired for as many years as he worked. A privilege that he was thankful for every day.
Keith was an avid golfer all his life and was proud to get his first hole in one at the young age of 85 and 5 months.
Dad was always a gentleman right up until the end, thanking the nurses and doctors at every opportunity and we will miss him beyond measure. Special thank you to Dr. Kate Bailey and the Hospice staff.
Dad has donated his body to The University of Western Ontario- Faculty of Medicine.
A passion shared by both his wife Gloria and his Mom Nan. As per Keith’s wishes a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
