Angela Chodan, formerly of Westlock, AB, died in Edmonton on November 20, 2024.
Angela was predeceased by her husband, Steve, in 2020. She leaves her children Lucinda (Dave Clarke) and Brian (Kim Cooper-Chodan); grandchildren Sarah Jubinville, Tom Chodan (Dany Villanueva) and Sydney McNulty (Jon); and great-grandchildren Hannah, Zoe and Declan Jubinville. She is also survived by her sisters Benita Karlson and Rita Schoenberger; brothers Leo, Eddie and Gary Jaeger; and sisters-in-law Gertie Jaeger, Joyce Jaeger, Iris Chodan and Alma Ostapek.
Angela was born in Leipzig, SK, but moved as a child to Notikewin, AB, where her parents Valentine and Bertha Jaeger homesteaded. She and her husband Steve spent most of their adult lives in Westlock, where she was a longtime member of the CWL. She was a kind and generous person with a great sense of humour. She will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue NW, in Edmonton on December 14 at 3:30 p.m. A reception will follow at the same location. The funeral will be livestreamed.
