It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Archibald (Archie) Porter announce his peaceful passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 73. Left behind with precious memories are his special niece, whom he called his angel, Jane (Bill), his great niece, his pride and Joy, Debbie (Shannon). Sisters: Annie, Edith and Susie as well as a circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his loving parents John and Lavenia (Violet) Clothier, Grandparents, four sisters, three brothers and his beloved cat Muffin.
As his wish, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist church, Burgeo on Monday Nov 25th from 6-9PM from where the funeral will be held on Tuesday Nov 26th at 11AM, with Rev. Elsie Rose officiating. Interment to follow at the Burgeo community cemetery.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you for all the wonderful care given to Archie during his recent stay at the Calder Health Care Center, Burgeo and WMRH, Corner Brook. Also special thanks to Fillatre’s funeral home. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for all you’ve done.
