Mary Naomi King
1939-2023
Naomi King of Thomas Hall, Shannex, Fredericton passed away
peacefully on March 5, 2023 with Terry and Peter by her
side.
She will be dearly missed by her brother Terry King
(Charlene) and his family as well as a devoted nephew Peter King
(Melanie). She leaves behind several cousins, nieces, and
nephews.
Besides her parents Burleigh and Edith (Clark) King, Naomi
was predeceased by her brother Brian.
Naomi was an amazing and talented woman. There was never a
challenge too great. She accomplished many skills and professions
– to mention only a few: she served in the Royal Canadian
Airforce; she owned a carriage company in Toronto; and lastly, retired
from the NB Dept. of Transportation, where she was the first woman to
be a provincial road inspector.
Naomi loved outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and
building houses. She was a great dog lover. There was always a best
friend by her side.
Special thanks is given to the staff of Thomas Hall and to
Peter King for the love and support given to Naomi for the past 7
½ years.
Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd,
Riverview (869-2007). A celebration of life will be held at a later
date. Donations in Naomi’s memory can be made to a charity
of the donor’s choice.
