Eileen Rose Belliveau, 85 years old, of Moncton and formerly
of Saint-Paul, NB, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 5, 2023 at
the Auberge du Soleil, where she was presently residing.
Born in South Branch, she was the daughter of late Charles McDonald
and late Mary (Swift) McDonald.
Mom was a very caring and loving person who would do all to
help out her family and friends. When she was younger, she
would make mittens and socks for us and also would make blankets, she
was very talented. She loved doing that. A sickness in her fingers
made it impossible for her to continue. She missed it very
much. She loved the family gatherings where she could be
with all her family.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at Kent Nursery in
Saint-Paul and in Fredericton. She loved being part of a
bigger family where she met and made everlasting friends.
She also served as the Golden Age Club President, as the first ever
woman president, where she did a lot of volunteer work and volunteered
for the Saint-Paul parish.
Mom will be sadly missed by her five daughters: Yvonne Leger
of Dieppe, Pauline (Raymond) Hebert of Bouctouche, Linda
(Désiré) LeBlanc of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent,
Caroline (Clarence) Gautreau of Memramcook, and Lorraine Belliveau
(Jerry LeBlanc) of Dieppe; two sons, Charles Belliveau (Ginette
Melanson) of Riverview and Gerald Belliveau of Moncton; eight
grandchildren: Réjean (Anita), Jules (Jenn), Julien
(Sandra), Jolaine, Josée (Alain), Joel, Paige, and Jeremy;
11 great-grandchildren: Béyoncé, Maxime,
Roméo, Caleb, Sébastien, Lilianne,
Zoé, Samuel, Kaylee, Jilliane, and William; two siblings:
Gerald McDonald (late Lorette) of Leominster, Mass., and Jean
Williamson (late Eugene) of Moncton; one half-sister, Paula Suttie of
British Columbia; one half-brother, Clarence (Florine) Pitre of
Saint-Paul; one sister-in-law, Aline (Alderice) Belliveau of Moncton;
as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mary
McDonald; step-father Antoine Pitre; husband Basil Belliveau (1979),
and son Raymond Belliveau (2020).
Special thank you to the extra mural nurses for the excellent
care provided to our mother.
The family will receive condolences at Saint-Paul-de-Kent
R.C. Church, 6476, Route 515 in Saint-Paul-de-Kent where the funeral
mass will be celebrated on Monday March 13 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are
Monday from 2 pm until time of funeral. Interment will be in the
parish cemetery in the Spring. In memory of Eileen, a contribution to
the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements
