Obituary of Dona Clark
Clark- Dona Jean- On November 1st, 2024, we said goodbye for the last time to our beautiful and vibrant mother and grandmother, Dona Jean Clark (nee Clift). Dona was born on September 17, 1931, in Toronto, Ontario to Edward and Jean Clift. She met Bob Clark as children and after high school they married and began their life together in Toronto, eventually settling in London. They rarely left each other’s side for the next 65 years, and still held hands all those years later, often travelling to their two favourite destinations, Boston, Massachusetts and Freeport, Maine. Dona began a rewarding career at 3M in her mid-thirties, where she stayed until her retirement, only to be rehired by 3M as a Grey Eagle and retired a second time. Dona was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and enjoyed a decades-long membership, where she met many good friends. Dona is predeceased by her parents, and her beloved Bob (2020). She leaves behind children Pat Yoshida (Kevin), David Clark (Denise Heffron) and Leanne Clark, grandchildren Evan Clark (Melanie) and Egan Jones, and great-grandchildren Callum Clark and Annie Clark. Thank you to Breanne and Jennifer at Ashwood Manor, for making Dona so welcomed during her short stay. Thanks also to the caring staff at Victoria Hospital Palliative Care Unit for the last month. Your support, not only for Dona, but also for her family, will not be forgotten.
A Memorial Graveside service will be held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, 2001 Dundas St E., London on Friday November 8th at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. Donations can be made to World Wildlife Fund in memory of Dona. Bubbles, your Mud Turtle, and Ralphie the cat are waiting for you in Heaven.
