It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Reverend Michael John Carruthers of Upper Island Cove passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 1, 2024. Rev. Carruthers was 71 years old.
He leaves to mourn his loving family:

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE’S FUNERAL HOME, CRANES ROAD, UPPER ISLAND COVE on Sunday: 10:30 A.M. – 12 Noon, 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M., Monday: 10:30 A.M. – 12 Noon, 2-5 P.M., & 7-9 P.M. & Tuesday: 10:30 A.M. – 12 Noon
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his loving memory to a Charity of One’s Choice.
Funeral service will take place Tuesday, November 5th at 2 P.M., from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upper Island Cove. The interment will take place on Wednesday, November 6th at 12 Noon at the All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Gander.
