The family announces with heavy hearts the passing of Yvette Lauzon surrounded by her loving family on
Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 91.
Predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Lauzon (1997). Cherished mother to Guy Lauzon, late Robert
(Bob) Lauzon Jr. (2005), Nicole Pontello (Paul), and Daniel Lauzon (Lise). Proud grandmother to Carrie
Nixon (Mark), Mark Lauzon (Amanda), Amber Lauzon, Luc Lauzon, Julie-Anne Harvey (Chad), Christelle
Card (Tim), Camille Lauzon, Jillianne Tozer (Ethan), and Janelle Lauzon; great-grandmother to Kayla,
Damon, Liam, Dawson, Payton, Braden, Haileigh, Abigail, Danika, Erika, Mason, and Whitney.
She is also survived by her brothers Leon Bélec (Irene) and Yvon Bélec (Ghislaine), her sister-in-law
Paulette Bélec, her brother-in-law Carl Prince, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Hector and Valentine (nee Fillion) Bélec, her brothers and sisters
Claude Bélec, Pierre Bélec, Leo Bélec, Hubert Bélec, Roland Bélec, Claire Dubé, Denise Thibeault, Gilberte
Prince, and Louise Bélec; daughter-in law Jocelyne.
The family wishes to thank Amber and the angels at The Walford Residence as well as the Med C staff at
TADH for their excellent care and compassion.
Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place in the LESSARD
Funeral and Cremation Centre Chapel on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow
