Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Trillium Villa in Sarnia, ON, Jessie “Jean” Mulder passed away at the age of 91. Predeceased by her son Stephen (Rebecca) and her great grandson Carter. Loving mother to Shari (the late Craig) and David (Tracy). Grandmother to Samantha, Matthew (Theresa), Crystal (Brent), and Melanie (Les). Great grandmother to Hailey, Morgan, and Denver. Jean was the last surviving member of her seven siblings.
Along with her playful sense of humour, Jean will be remembered for her generosity within the community. She enjoyed baking butter tarts for various fundraising events and would personally deliver her freshly baked tarts to anyone who was struggling or in need. In addition to baking, Jean also enjoyed oil painting, wood carving and playing Bingo.
The family would like to thank the staff at Trillium Villa. We truly appreciate their support and kindness given to Jean during her time there.
Jean’s wishes were to donate her body to the University of Western London Health Sciences Centre. She would always (jokingly) say “I guess I’ll be going back to school again some day!”
You left us with many cherished memories. Your kindness, your laughter, and your love will forever remain in our hearts. You will be sorely missed.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia-Lambton
(cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
