Obituary of Tim McGuire
McGuire: Timothy “Tim”, a resident of Aniline Residence, Oil Springs, passed away peacefully at the Petrolia Hospital on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the age 59. Born in Petrolia, son of the late William and Laura (Butler) McGuire. Loving brother of Robert “Bob” McGuire (Nancy) of Petrolia, Ross McGuire (Janice) of Croton, Peter McGuire (Cheryl) of Oil Springs, Doug McGuire of Oil Springs. Loving uncle of Ian (Amanda), Jordan (Heather), Michael (Ellie), Melissa Young (Tyler), Nicole Font (Shawn), Lindsey Peters (Josh), and great uncle of Jack, Grace, Wyatt, James, Luke, Ryan, Ailey, Maddie, Sophie, Emily, Arthur and Saroise. Predeceased by 2 infant sisters, a sister-in-law Myrna McGuire, and niece Kim McGuire. Tim worked at Petrolia Enterprises, Lumberjack/BMR for many years. He loved to draw and was an avid fan of W.W.E. wrestling, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Tigers. He was a former member of Shetland United Church, where he enjoyed volunteering to take collection on Sunday’s. He loved his weekly trip to Blackgold Brewery. Special thanks to the staff and residents of Aniline Residence, and to Dr. Butler and staff at the Petrolia Hospital for the wonderful care they provided to Tim. Family and Friends will be received at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Sunday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 1:30 PM. A private family Interment will be held at Oil Springs Cemetery. Lunch following the service will be held at The Dawn-Eupehmia Community Centre, Florence. Donations to Lambton County Developmental Services (Petrolia Site c/o 339 Centre St., Petrolia ON.
