Obituary For Hugh Allen Davis
October 21, 1960 – October 19, 2024
Hugh was born October 21, 1960 in Whitehorse, Yukon and passed away peacefully October 19, 2024 at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
Hugh moved to Grande Prairie from southern BC twenty seven years ago. He never shared much of his growing up years but was removed from his family of origin at a young age. Hugh loved working on vehicles, skidoos and ATV’s and was talented in bringing many back to life. He was a backyard mechanic and many a motor found it’s way to the kitchen table.
Hugh was a friend to many and knew his neighbours well. If he could help someone out, he didn’t hesitate. Hugh loved to joke around and always had an upbeat attitude.
Hugh is survived by his long time friend Shannon Dixon and her adult children and families plus many extended family members and friends. Hugh will be missed. A celebration of life for Hugh will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of ICU and especially Dr. Marcotte and the staff at the Cancer Clinic at GPRH for his care through the years.
