Obituary of David John Scott
Peacefully with his wife by his side at Victoria Hospital on October 18, 2024, David (Dave) John Scott of Dorchester passed at the age of 60.
Dave loved fishing, family, and anything on wheels, including going for leisure rides with his wife on their Harleys. One of his favourite past times was tinkering around in the garage working on anything he could get his hands on, and he sure loved his tools! He always said, “You can never have enough tools!” His personality was a little stubborn at times, however, he was a hard-working man who always put his family’s well being before his own.
Dave was a devoted husband for 38 years of Kim (Patterson) Scott. Dear father of Kadee (Thomas Anderson), David (Kellie Park). Proud grandfather to Victoria Anderson. Survived by his sister Christene (Jim Betcher), nephew Kyle Betcher. Predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Bernadene (Russell) Scott.
Although he will be missed dearly, he requests to be remembered by the good times had.
Cremation has taken place. As per Dave’s wishes, there will not be a funeral but will be a celebration of life on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 1 – 4 PM at the Optimist Youth Centre (formerly North Dorchester Optimist Club), 1653 Richmond St., Dorchester, Casual dress is requested. Harley clothing is welcome.
