Pamela Merton passed away at home in Gravenhurst on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the age of 52. Beloved partner of Erwin Kordt.
Pam is the beloved daughter of Helen Hagan Merton and Gordon Merton (Joy). Dear mother of Kenneth Merton and Helen Gummo. She is survived by her siblings Gordon Merton (Carrie), Edward Merton (Carey), Lorrie Merton Dyck (Keith), and Tommy Merton.
Pam was known for loving all things nature and outdoors. She had a love for fishing on the lake, and doing so with those she loved the most. Pam loved to help people out, and she was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed. Her love for helping people was not limited to humans, she was a huge animal lover. She rescued several dogs over the years and showed them how it felt to be truly cherished.
Some of Pam’s other favourite activities were going out to The Mandarin with Erwin. She frequently attended the Gravenhurst Opera House, which was her favourite place to attend concerts and events. She was always willing to explore new places. She spent many hours on the road just going wherever it took her. She truly knew how to make the most of any moment.
A Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held at Cavill Funeral Home on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. If desired, memorial donations made to Carter’s Forever Rescue and Sanctuary would be greatly appreciated and may be arranged through Cavill Funeral Home.
May Pam’s soul rest in peace and let us cherish the memories we shared.
