Our treasured and only child Alex passed peacefully Saturday September 28 at the age of 34 after a ten year courageous and valiant battle with MS.
We are left astounded by his will to live in the face of the cruel and unremitting challenges presented by his disease.
Although his life was tragically brief we are heartened by the knowledge that he lived it with energy, passion, laughter and joie de vivre.
In the face of daily physical challenges he revealed an innate empathy and wisdom that was remarkable to behold.
His passing has left us heartbroken but we are determined to stay strong in order to honour his memory.
Alex, you are a blessing in our life. We will love you forever. Rest in well deserved peace.
A private Celebration of Life will be held. If so desired, memorial donations to Matthews House Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
