À l’Hôpital régional d’Edmundston, le 22 septembre 2024, à l’âge de 89 ans et 3 mois, est décédée Mme Majella “Maggie“ Lavigne, domiciliée à Clair autrefois d’Edmundston, épouse de feu M. Lévi Cormier, fille de feu M. William L. Lavigne et de feu Mme Parmella Gauthier.
Elle laisse dans la peine mais également avec de merveilleux souvenirs, ses enfants : Jocelyne Cormier, Robert Cormier (Siew Lan), Ronald Cormier (Nancy Watson), Joanne Cormier (Mike Burlock) et Paul Cormier (Michelle Francoeur-Cormier), ses petits-enfants : Jean Sébastien, Stéphanie, Marie-Ève, Isabelle, Christine, Julie, Véronic, Océane, Mélodie et Zackary, ses arrière-petits-enfants : Jateena, Orlando, Juliette, Victor, Zak, Dewi, Kayla, Eivin, Kaydan et Léane, son arrière-arrière-petit-fils : Levi, son frère Robert Lavigne (Rebecca), ses sœurs : Margaret Rose Wood (feu Bill), Norma Lewis (Reginald), Anne-Marie Saulnier (Valmond) et Lorine Lavigne (feu Ben) ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux et nièces. Elle repose maintenant auprès de son époux, sa petite-fille Michelle, ses parents, ses frères et sœurs : Maurice, Dora, Jeannette, Edwidge, Aurèle, Blanche, Sr. Louise.
Une Célébration aura lieu samedi le 28 septembre 2024, à 15 h à la Résidence funéraire Bellavance avec l’inhumation au cimetière Immaculée-Conception.
La famille de Mme Majella “Maggie“ Cormier accueillera parents et ami(e)s à compter de 13 h samedi à la Résidence funéraire Bellavance du 153 chemin Canada à Edmundston. Les heures de visites seront de 13 h à 15 h soit l’heure de la Célébration.
Mme Cormier avait le titre de Grand maitre au Bridge. Elle fut présidente de la section des dames du Club de Golf Fraser d’Edmundston.
La famille remercie le personnel de la Résidence Crockett pour les excellents soins reçus.

At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, September 22, 2024, at the age of 89 years and 3 months, passed away Mrs. Majella “Maggie“ Lavigne, she lived in Clair formerly of Edmundston, wife of the late Mr. Lévi Cormier, daughter of the late Mr. William L. Lavigne and the late Mrs. Parmella Gauthier.
She leaves in pain but also with wonderful memories, her children: Jocelyne Cormier, Robert Cormier (Siew Lan), Ronald Cormier (Nancy Watson), Joanne Cormier (Mike Burlock) and Paul Cormier (Michelle Francoeur-Cormier), her grandchildren: Jean Sébastien, Stéphanie, Marie-Ève, Isabelle, Christine, Julie, Véronic, Océane, Mélodie and Zackary, her great-grandchildren: Jateena, Orlando, Juliette, Victor, Zak, Dewi, Kayla, Eivin, Kaydan and Léane, her great-great-grandson: Levi, her brother Robert Lavigne (Rebecca), her sisters: Margaret Rose Wood (late Bill), Norma Lewis (Reginald), Anne-Marie Saulnier (Valmond) and Lorine Lavigne (late Ben), as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. She now rests beside her husband, her granddaughter Michelle, her parents, her brothers and sisters: Maurice, Dora, Jeannette, Edwidge, Aurèle, Blanche, Sr. Louise.
A Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 3 p.m. at the Bellavance Funeral Home, with interment in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Majella “Maggie“ Cormier will welcome relatives and friends from 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bellavance Funeral Home, 153 Canada Road, Edmundston. Visiting hours will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the time of the Celebration.
Ms. Cormier had the title of Grand Master at Bridge. She was president of the ladies’ section of the Fraser Golf Club in Edmundston.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Crockett Residence for the excellent care they provided.
