Debbie Battler passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Hospice of Waterloo Region at the age of 73.
She is deeply missed by her husband of 53 years, Russ, and their two children Cory (Delia), and Jennifer (Darryl). Extremely proud Grandma to Jacob and Caleb, who she loved to the moon and back. Debbie and Russ were together for 60 years and have been through many of life’s ups and downs.
She was a force to be reckoned with, had an energy and sass that was contagious, and lived her life unapologetically. She lived an active lifestyle and enjoyed biking, running, walking the dogs, and working out at Depth Training (one of her favorite places), she loved Lake Huron, traveling, and cheering on her Toronto Blue Jays (there’s always next year).
Never one to back down, she was a fighter until the very end. She taught us to enjoy life and to be grateful.
A special thank you to Dr. Tan, Grace, Monika, Nicole and her entire care team for the exceptional and compassionate care you provided to her. We are so thankful and grateful to you.
