Passed peacefully away at Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024, Mrs. Marina Cecilia Brazil (Dwyer), at a blessed age of 88 years, Spaniard’s Bay. Predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Matthew J. Brazil, parents Julia (North) and Ronald Dwyer, parents – in – law, Matthew and Agnes Brazil. Sisters: Joan Arns, Mary Dwyer, brothers: infant baby brother Edward, Thomas Dwyer, infant Grand daughter Jennifer Brazil, Grand daughter – in – law, Tiffany Brazil.
Leaving to mourn, Sons: Paul (Elizabeth), Brian (Mary), Cyril (LaVerne), Damien (Edwina), Matthew (Marilyn), Ron (Joy). Daughters: Sheila (Dave) White, Agnes (Peter) Lane. 17 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren. Her siblings Bride Penny, Norah Kent, Lillian Hynes, Catherine Hynes, Paula Quinn, Ned Dwyer, Ron Dwyer, Jim Dwyer, Paul Dwyer and a large circle of brothers and sisters in law, along with numerous family members including many precious nieces and nephews and a large circle of her dear friends.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear on Tuesday: 10:30 A.M.-9 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in her loving to the Breakfast Program at Holy Redeemer School, Spaniard’s Bay.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 10:30 A.M from St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Carbonear. Interment will follow on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11 A.M. from St. Anne’s R.C. Cemetery, Spaniard’s Bay.
