John Davison
March 17, 1935 — September 15, 2024
Davison, John (Jack)
1935-2024
It is with great sadness, the family of Jack Davison, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan announce his passing at the age of 89 years, on Sunday September 15, 2024. Although we are heartbroken to lose the leader of our clan, we know he is being lovingly welcomed by his late wife, Marion Davison. After 59 years of marriage, they are together once again. John Patrick Davison, Jack, was born at home in Rosetown, Saskatchewan March 17, 1935, to his parents, John and Evelyn Davison who immigrated to Saskatchewan from Belfast, Ireland in 1930. The doctor who delivered Jack in Rosetown, had offered his services for free if the Irish mother named her son Patrick after being born on St. Patrick’s Day, and so she did!
He is survived by his sisters: Maureen Lustig and Pat Fawcett, his children: Greg Davison and Susan Davison (Dwayne) and his grandchildren who thought the absolute world of him: Chantel Kaufmann (Loni), Trent Davison (Kari), Kristen Poitevien (Ricot), and Aaron Moss (Kevin). Jack’s legacy is carried on through his great-grandchildren: Jonpatrick, Gabriella, and Sawyer, Lukas and Kane, and Falyn and Jaxon.
Jack was a very successful and respected businessman throughout Saskatchewan since the time he began working at 16 years of age. From Bowman Brothers/Acklands to Western Automotive Rebuilders, to Investors Group, and finally to Blue Cross, Jack created many strong friendships and fond memories from his days working and travelling the world. His friendly nature, in-depth knowledge and understanding of the industry, and sharp tongue helped him to make business connections and friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Over the years, Jack loved fishing and golfing, working in his beautiful yard at Assiniboine Drive, volunteering with the Kinsmen Club, traveling with his wife, and getting together with friends. He was known for his calm demeanour, quick wit, and ability to make an impressive Caesar or Martini.
His friends and family loved to celebrate his birthday, March 17, with huge parties no matter where they were at the time. Many memories over the years of celebrating his Irish heritage with laughter and friendship will never be forgotten.
Jack was a much-loved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, neighbour, and community member who impacted those around him more than they could ever say.
A special thank you to Dr. Deutscher for all his care over the years.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be Thursday October 17, 2024, at Saskatoon Funeral Home at 3:00 pm with an Irish wake to follow at the Saskatoon Club with Irish Stew. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation.

Arrangements are entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home. 306-244-5577. A link will be available for online viewing of the service for those who are unable to attend in person.
Please take some time to listen to Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, or Tom Jones and have a toast to a wonderful, wonderful man with a perfectly mixed Caesar or dirty Martini.
Sláinte, Jack Davison, to a life well lived.
