Obituary For Rita Beaulieu (nee: Pilon)
August 30, 1940 – August 19, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Rita Beaulieu (nee: Pilon), who passed away on August 19, 2024, at the age of 83 at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
Born on August 30, 1940, in Noelville, ON and later moved to Hull, QC where she married Gilles Beaulieu in 1961. They later moved to Toronto, back to Noelville and on to Grande Prairie, AB in 1980. Rita was a devoted mother to her children Francine, Joey, Pierre and Yvan
Rita lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking, baking and sewing. Her homemade dishes were always the highlight of family gatherings (sugar pie and meat pie being family favorites). She also had a green thumb and loved tending to her garden, which was always there for the picking. In her later years, Rita enjoyed reading books and surfing Facebook in her free time.
Rita was a kind and generous soul, sharing her recipes and sewing tips to whoever asked. Her love extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her sense of humour and warm personality.
She is survived by husband Gilles, her sons Joey and Yvan, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all who will miss her dearly.
A private funeral service was held for immediate family members and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of their choice in memory of Rita Beaulieu.
Rest in peace mother. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.
