It is with great sadness that we share the news of Charlies death at Eries Shores Hospice surrounded by his family on August 31, 2024, at the age of 75. Charles has joined his dear wife Brenda (2020) in everlasting peace. Beloved father of Lisa Aylesworth, Steven “Buck” Marchand (Cindy) and Margaret Anger (Morgan). Treasured Papa of Mitchell Marchand (Catou), Dalton Marchand, Austin Aylesworth, Logan Aylesworth and the late Huntre Allard (2019). Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Jim Marchand (Rose), Betty Ann Sterling (John), Ida May Wild, and John Marchand. Brother-in-law of Beverley Doan (late Joe), Sharon Upham (Bert), Alan Buhler, the late Nancy Market (Doug), the late Jacqueline Copeland (Don), Greg Buhler (MaryJane), Kevin Buhler (late Patty) and Mark Buhler (Joanne). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His Tim Hortons team will greatly miss him. He had a great sense of humour and discovered a talent for gardening. The camaraderie at the Viscount brought him immense joy, reflecting true community spirit. As a truck driver for over 50 years, Charlie enjoyed spending his free time in his garage, always working on something. Charlie had a passion for attending tractor pulls and plowing matches. A devoted fan of John Deere, he thought everything looked best in green and yellow! He also appreciated everyone who visited him in Hospice. He enjoyed the visits immensely and they brought him great happiness. Special thanks to Erie Shores Hospice, they were amazing, and Charlie loved joking around with them.
Cremation will take place, and the arrangements are under the care of the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North Es. Donations may be made to Erie Shores Hospice (Cheques made payable to Erie Shores Health Foundation). You may send your condolences online at www.kennedyfh.com
