Darrell Carl Bannish

On September 4th, 2024 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Darrell passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 70.
Darrell will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Barb, with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage on August 17th. He also leaves to mourn his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael & Kendra and Daniel & Jennifer; grandchildren Ross, Colton, Dawson and Brynlee; brother Greg Bannish, and brothers-in-law Buzz (Pat) Sutherland, Leslie (Janet) Sutherland and many nieces, nephews, close friends and extended family.
Darrell was predeceased by his parents Jim and Mavis Bannish, his brother Wayne Bannish, his mother and father in-law Stanley and Jean Sutherland and daughter-in-law Andréa Bannish.
Darrell was born and raised in Selkirk where he acquired many friends over his lifetime. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and time spent with family, friends, of course his pets, and especially his beloved grandchildren.
In keeping with Darrell’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will follow at a future date.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Selkirk Regional Health Centre and the St. Boniface Hospital Cardiac Unit for the wonderful care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
