Brine, Christopher “Briner”:
Passed away after a month long battle with respiratory illness on September 1, 2024 at Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 49.
Beloved husband and best friend of Sheri Brine of 17 years. Loving Dad of Ryder. Dear son of Gerrie. Cherished Brother of Andy (Kessie).
He is predeceased by his Dad Rick Brine. Lovingly missed by his four legged furbaby Bella.
Chris will be remembered for his love and involvement in hockey, from playing in the early years to coaching in the latter. His passion was evident and will not be forgotten. He spent his time with family and friends and most loved his summer home on stag island.
Chris’ family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Celebration of Chris’ life will be held at Edelweiss Tavern (600 Doon Village Rd., Kitchener) on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a Trust fund for Chris’ son: Ryder Brine or Hamilton General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
Our ray of sunshine will be painfully missed.
May he rest in peace and be “safe” always.
