Vincent, Dorothy (Grandy) passed away peacefully at Meadow Creek Retirement home in Paradise on February 26, 2023. Dorothy was 90 years old and born in 1932 in Bay L’Argent, Fortune Bay. Predeceased by her husband Fred Vincent (2005) and Harold Rose (1960), parents Mary Ann and Chesley Grandy, and Isaac Bugler, brothers: Carl Grandy and Robert Bugler and sister, Violet. Dorothy was known as a gentle, warm, and resilient woman who loved politics, children, and a good competitive game of Scrabble. Her quiet, intelligent, and thoughtful contributions will forever be fondly remembered by her family and friends. She leaves to mourn her loving children: Carl Rose (Vivian), Harold Rose (Mercedes), Trudy Power ( Don), Sharon Nash (Gerard) . Her treasured grandchildren: Wayne Rose, Jilian Rose (Kieran), Jonathon Rose(Aaron), Victoria Power(Michael) Hilary Power (Jeremy), Joshua Nash (Melissa) , Connor Nash (Vanessa), AJ and Elizabeth Nash . Great grandchildren: Myles, Louis, Vinny, Harrison, and Charlie.
Dorothy’s life will be celebrated in a ceremony at St. Hilda’s church in Bay L’Argent on Wednesday, March 1 at 11am. Visitation on Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 3-8pm at St Hilda’s church. Flowers or donations to St. Hilda’s in her memory are gratefully accepted.
