Shauna Chong Obituary
On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, Shauna Chong died in her sleep at the SkyPointe Hospice. After several years of physical hardship and struggles her spirit is finally free.
Many of you will remember Shauna’s spirit, her zest for life, to laugh, to sing and to always see the brighter side.
Shauna picked a career of working with children. She enjoyed being called the baby whisperer and would gravitate to any child in the room. Shauna had many loves, Rick, Steven and her special connection to her grandchildren Nathaniel, Natalie and Bryson.
Shauna loved to be social so a special thank you to family ,friends and colleagues who came to celebrate her birthday week while in the hospice. Purple balloons filled her room.
Shauna had a strong connection to her family; she spoke to her mom and dad daily, her siblings knew how much they were loved, and her extended family and BFFs knew how much they were loved.
Shauna knew she was going to die and faced it with courage and dignity just the way she lived. She has been collecting many dimes and feathers and other significant spiritual insights.
She knew she was going to a better place. Watch for her
Memorial Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (404 Northmount Place NW) on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
