HELEN ANN DUBIEL
Helen Dubiel was born on June 3, 1925, on a farm near Wishart Saskatchewan to John and Ann Angelski. She is Survived by Sisters Angela and Julia and her Sister In-law and special
friend Stella. Helen was predeceased by her Brothers Joe, Henry and Sisters Francis and Mary.
On August 22, 2024, guided by Angels and her devoted faith Helen passed away peacefully at Holy Family Care Home in Winnipeg MB where she had lived the past 6 years.
In 1944 she married Stanley Dubiel and had nine children. She was survived by her children; Angie (Gary), Denise (Ron), Michele (Dan), Stan (Jessie), Charmagne (Richard), Bobby (Kelly), Lionel (Paula). Grandchildren; Kristen (Jeff), Shane (Corrine), Michael (Bev), Jamie (Brit), Chelsea (Wayne), Joshua, Caitlyn, Kelsey (Jarod), John (Jess), Andrew, Madi, Sydney, Christopher, Marcelo (Jessica), Chantel (Jacob), Chelsea. Great grandchildren; Shalyn, Emersyn, Landyn, Jaycek, Taylor, Alex, Luke, Eli, Zach, Luna, Phoebe. Great Great Grandchildren; Ayla. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley, daughters Claudia and Charolotte, beloved grandson Jamie, son-in-law Robert and longtime companion Romy.
Helen worked hard all her life. She always made the time to drive through a blizzard to watch her boys play hockey and never complained and remained gracious and compassionate. She was blessed with a positive attitude and the ability to instill joy and kindness in others around her. You would never leave her house without a smile, or a full belly of homemade perogies.
Some of Helens fondest memories were growing up in the countryside and walking to Halicz school. She loved to be surrounded by nature. Her eyes would light up talking of picking wildflowers, berries and mushrooms. She loved to hear the birds sing as she sang like a songbird herself. She loved the sway of the golden wheatfields and fertile soils of rural Saskatchewan… most of all she loved her family with all her heart.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the staff at Holy Family Care Home for all the loving care and compassion given to our Mother.
Mom, you will be forever missed and always loved.
In keeping with Helen’s wishes, there will be no service, but a celebration of life at a later date.
