It is with profound sadness that the family of André Carl Lavoie announces his passing in Timmins on August 12, 2024, at the age of 56 years. He passed away peacefully in his sleep with his faithful dog Tippy by his side. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart leaves a beacon of light for all who truly knew him.
André will be lovingly remembered by his two sons Daniel Caldwell & Mathew Lavoie. Along with their mothers Kelly Caldwell and his former wife Margaret Lavoie. Cherished grandfather of Trooper and Zeppelin. He is the beloved son of Carole Barr- Lavoie (Eddy) and André Lavoie Sr. He leaves behind his loving siblings Jane Tousignant (Gérald), Marion Robertson (Kirk), Paul Lavoie (Denise), Daniel Lavoie (Jeannette) along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Andy loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had a passion wheeling and dealing, mud bogging, music and more. Even though Andy struggled with his health and wellness for most of his life, his main desire was looking to help those in need as much as he could.
The family wishes to send a sincere thank you to the staff at the Centre de Sante Communautaire de Timmins, the Red Cross for all their compassion and care over the years and everyone who has assisted him in anyway.
Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 11am to 1pm at the Porquis Agriculture Hall (38 Edward St, Iroquois, Falls, ON) a light luncheon will be served. The interment will follow at the Porquis Cemetery following the celebration of life. Arrangements are entrusted to LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre. Remembrance donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
