Gardner, Ambrose “Ambi” Paul (February 1, 1940 – August 15, 2024)
Passed away, peacefully, with his loving family by his side, Ambrose “Ambi” Paul Gardner, of Glendale Crossing LTC, London, on Thursday, August 15th, 2024, at the age of 84. Ambi was born in Kirkland Lake. Predeceased by his much loved and loving wife of 49 years, Margaret Mary (Francois) Gardner (August 17, 2012). Ambi was a man of many talents and interests. One of his proudest accomplishments was playing Basketball for Canada alongside his brother Robert in the 1960 Olympics in Rome. Ambi was the Very Dedicated Plant Manager of the Livingston’s Industries, Tillsonburg. Ambi was known as a man of integrity, honesty and strength and faith. He enjoyed many winters in Florida and was an avid golfer, gardener and world traveler. Ambi will be missed not only by his loving family, but also by a large group of treasured friends both here at home and in Florida where he spent his winters. Ambi is survived by his loving children Sean Gardner and Marc (Maryanne) Gardner. Loving grandfather to Naida Anne (Keelen); Arabella Marguerite; Kaiya Rose and great-grandfather of Jagger-Joseph and Jayleen. Also survived by his brother Larry (wife Billy Joy) Gardner, of Amherstburg, and sister-in-law Veronica (husband Barry Nolan), of Copenhagen, as well as by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Jack Gardner and Rose Vera (Podolski) Gardner; and brothers Jack Gardner and Robert Gardner.

Friends, relatives and neighbours are invited to attend public visitation on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, between 2:00 – 4:00 pm. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. Vigil Prayers will be held on Tuesday evening at 5:45 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 21st, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg, by Rev. Fr. Seejo John. Interment follows in the Tillsonburg Cemetery.
