Alex Halliburton
September 26, 1939 – August 10, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alex Halliburton on August 10, 2024, at the age of 84 years. Alex was predeceased by his wife Anna Halliburton. He will be deeply missed by his companion Hilary; daughters Angila (Gordon), Diane (Chris); grandchildren Jamie (Dominique), Erin, Janessa, Kyle; and great grandchildren Brodie and Anna. Alex was born in the City of Glasgow, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1964. Alex worked at the University, Research Council, and retired from the Government of Alberta Apprenticeship Branch. Alex had many passions which included laughing and being with family and friends, creating pastel drawings/art, Robert Burns poetry and being a proud member of the Edmonton Burns Club. A celebration of the life of Alex will be held at the First Presbyterian Church 10025 – 105 Street Edmonton, AB on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rivercrest Care Center, Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
