It is with deep sadness and tremendous heartbreak that we announce the unexpected passing of our truly loved son Devaughn on Thursday, August 8, 2024, age 34.
Predeceased by grandparents Joseph and Dianne Whalen and Wallace (Wally) Head; great grandparents Tobais (Tibb) and Melida Hayley; great grandmother Dina Cossar.
Left to mourn, mom and dad, Kimberley and Paul Head; sister Dakota Brake (Gavin); other siblings, Jennifer Palej (Art),Dani Head (Andy); nieces and nephews, Austen, Autumn, Acen, Axten, Simon, Eva and Charlie; grandmother Gwendolyn (Gwen) Head; special friends of the family John and Juanita Mercer, Deland and Gina Burton, and a wide circle of family and friends.
Devaughn has imprinted on our hearts many memories of joy with his comedic personality and ability to make us laugh, as well as his exquisite artistic and musical talents. With his thirst for knowledge, he was an electronic genius and computer guru. Most of all he was a beautiful, loving son and brother who will be dearly missed.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. A private family service will take place at a later date.
