The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of 49 years to Mary Moreau (nee Hendry). Loving father of Rosanna Moreau (Rolly Hurtubise) of Timmins, ON., Gerald Moreau Jr. of Rycroft, AB., Angelina Moreau (Mike Gratton) of Paris, ON., Jonathan Moreau (Christina Carmichael) of Rycroft, AB., and Danielle Moreau of Cochrane, ON. Cherished Papa of Alyssia, Beyoncé, Tamyka, Sarah, Alexander, and Great Grandpapa of Alicia. Special Papa to Keegan, Isabelle, Cassandra, and Natasha. Dear brother of Roger Moreau (late Lily), Suzanne Dupuis (Rheal), Robert Moreau (late Stella), Michael Moreau (Georgina), Linda Moreau (late Beverly), Jean-Charles Moreau (late Monique), Louise Becking (George), Gaston Moreau (Solange), Joseph Moreau (Andrée) and Leona Thomas (Dan). Also left to mourn are his many nieces, nephews, and friends, including his best friend, Gilbert Morissette. Gerry was predeceased by his parents, Roger and Bernadette Moreau. A memorial service will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (500 Toke Street, Timmins, ON) on Monday, August 12, 2024. Remembrance donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
