In Loving Memory of Vito Giannini
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vito Giannini, who left us peacefully on August 1st, 2024, at the age of 91, surrounded by his loving family.
Vito was the beloved husband of the late Agnese. Together, they created a legacy of warmth and devotion that will forever be cherished by their daughters: Maria Ieraci (Domenic), Josephine DiFiore (Ralph), and Dana Miceli (Sam).
Vito was also the proud grandfather of eight adored grandchildren: Joseph (Niree), Vito (Andria), Daniel (Daniella), Gianluca (Brittney), Michelle (Matthew), Laura (Kyle), David (Julianna) and John. His love extended to his great-grandchildren; Isabella, Alina, Michael, Matthew, Alessio, Anthony, and Gabriella, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Born in Roseto Valfortore, Italy on October 16, 19 32, predeceased by his brother Domenico (Domenica) and sister Rosa (Fausto). Vito lived a life rich in love, family, and unwavering dedication. Immigrating to Canada in 1954 and married the love of his life Agnese in 1957. Vito was a pillar of strength for his family, a soft-spoken man embodying kindness, and a spirit of resilience. He was a family man who loved the simpler things of life like upkeeping his home and garden, making wine, enjoying a good plate of pasta, and antique cars. He worked at Consumers Glass for over 30 years and ran a catering business with our beloved Mom and Nonna Agnese, Moonlight Banquet Hall, which he proudly named. Our dear Dad and Nonno’s presence, love and kindness will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Nonno Vito leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and comfort us. He will be forever cherished in our hearts and remembered with kindness and affection. As Dad loved to say to all he encountered “Ciao Bella, Ciao Bello.”
Rest in Peace and Love you Dad and adored Nonno Vito.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12th from 2-4 and 6-9 at G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Ave., Etobicoke, Ontario. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 13th, at 10am at St. Leo’s Parish 277 Royal York Rd, Etobicoke. Entombment to follow at Glendale Cemetery 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke.
