Cyril Allan King passed away suddenly on February 21, 2023 in James Patten Memorial Hospital of cardiac arrest after a short stay.
Predeceased by his Father, Abraham J King, and many aunts and uncles on both the Bull and
King sides of his family.
Left to mourn, his mother, Rita King (Bull) brother, Lewis King (Wanda Turner), nephew [more
like another son], Jason Turner (Mary, stepdaughter Patricia), ex-wife Melvina Nippard (Steve, 2nd ex-husband Wayne, mother Rachel, siblings Lisa, Alice, Barry, Scott, and her extended
family), Children; Elvis, Melissa (Garland, ex-husband Jamie ~ father of grandchildren), Allan
(Lorie), grandchildren; Natalie (Devon), Madison, and many other family members on both the
Bull and King sides of the family, his close friend, Lisa Dyke, and the Noseworthy extended
family, and many more.
There are few on the Eastport Peninsula that do not know the name Cyril King. With everyone in
the community knowing if they needed a ride, or needed anything he would be right there to do
his best to help. He spread love and laughter up to his last moments, by telling jokes, including
to the hospital staff only moments before his passing. He has left a tear in the fabric of the
Eastport Peninsula that only time will attempt to repair.
Visitation will take place Monday February 27, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Oram’s Funeral Home Eastport.
Service will be held at the Holy Cross Anglican Church on Tuesday February 28, 2023 at 2 pm.

Internment to take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Eastport Peninsula Fire Department in memory of Cyril King
would be a contribution to the community that he cherished so deeply.
