Cocagne, NB – It is with great sadness we share the passing of Anita Gauvin (Bastarache), 63, at the Moncton Hospital, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late André and Angéline Bastarache (Hébert).
Beloved wife of Paul Gauvin; loving mother of Andrea and Louisa (Hailey) Gauvin; mémère to her dog grandchild: Bugs. Lovingly remembered by her mother: Angie Bastarache; by her sisters: Viola Collette (Maurice), Gina Bastarache (Bertin), and Lisa Mullin (Mike). Also remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and her extended family.
Predeceased by her father Andy; her brother: Roger, and several aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank the wonderful care Anita received at the Moncton Hospital, especially the team at the ICU.
Anita will always be remembered as having a kind and generous heart, being a faithful servant of the Lord, and above all, doing anything and everything for her family. Being a mother was Anita’s greatest accomplishment, always telling her girls “I love you more”. We will miss her terribly but take comfort knowing she is at peace.
Visitation will be held at Passage (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB E4R 1T3, 506-532-1050), on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm, and on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 1pm to 2:50pm. A celebration of her life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to “Boîte à Lunch de l’École Blanche-Bourgeois” in Cocagne.
The family invites you to sign the book of condolences below.
