Ducharme, Jason Craig
December 17, 1970 – July 20, 2024
Jason was born in Oakville, ON to Gary and Lynda Ducharme and grew up an only child in Wingham, ON. At age 15, his mother died and he moved to Collingwood to live with his dad.
When his dad remarried, he gained a step-mother Brenda, and step-brothers Scott and Kirk Estin. He referred to his new family as “The Brady Bunch”.
Starting at CCI in grade 11, he quickly made many good friends and went on to university and college. School and friendship came easy to Jason. He did well in marketing and later went to southeast Asia to teach English. It was there that he came to appreciate other cultures and to be self-taught in the Korean language. He excelled at the art of conversation with everyone around him and always found joy in simple everyday things.
The last few years were difficult for Jason and it is with much sadness that his family, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins must carry on without him. Cremation has taken place. The family will meet for a private gathering in September to remember Jason.
May he rest in peace.
