Margaret Kathryn Hubley
Margaret Hubley, 87 of Hillsborough NB passed away peacefully on Monday, July 29, 2024. Born in Bryants Corner, she was the daughter of the late John and Ethel (Kinney) Wry.
At the age of 13, she started working at The Windsor Café, followed by a fulfilling 25-year career and part of Moncton’s history as one of the girls that everyone knew at Cy’s Seafood. She was a member of The Airforce Veterans Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, travelling, winters in Florida and time spent with her family.
Margaret is survived by her children June Hanson (Dana), Cheryl LeBlanc (Keith) and Todd Hubley (Holly), daughter in law Noreen Hubley; grandchildren Christina (Brad), Sean, Ryan (Sarah), Allison (Tyler), Heather (Paul) and Shannon; great grandchildren Niko, Addison (who carries my name in hers), Taylor and Isaiah; and many nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her partner and best friend Dr. Paul Cormier, son in law Skip LeBlanc, step son Ray Hubley, brother Ronald Beers, step father Harry Beers and first husband Bill Hubley.
Also left behind to mourn, are a few of her many lifelong friends and one special one in particular Margaret (Melanson) Moore who she became friends with at age 13 and remained in constant touch with her until her passing. We the family, would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff of 6600 at The Moncton Hospital and Dr. Amel Fekhar for their amazing compassion shown to her and her family during her short stay. And a very special thank you to her friends and staff at The Fundy Royal Manor, who treated her like their own mother.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton NB, (506-858-1995).
The family would like to invite all those who would like to share a photo or memory with them to gather Friday, August 2, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at 68 Warren Ave. Riverview NB.
