Michael Albert William Martynuik, 73, of Wasaga Beach, died July 23rd 2024 surrounded by his wife and children.
Mike was born on May 11th, 1951, in Toronto to parents Margaret Anne and Stephen Martyniuk.
Mike grew up, and worked on, the family farm until he attended Carleton University in Ottawa. He proudly worked as an accountant and logistics manager for Kodak Canada,retiring in 2010.
He married his wife Andja on September 15th, 1978, marking 45 years together last year. They had two children, Matthew and Adam.
In his younger years he was an avid skier, tennis and squash player. Eventually he was promoted to coach at the baseball diamond for his sons. His favourite activity over the years became puttering around his property at his Wasaga Beach home or Kawarthas cottage.
In recent years he became an integral member of local clubs such as Probus Club of Collingwood, Collingwood Cinema Club and the Legion.
Mike was a loving husband to Andja, proud father to Matthew and Adam (Crystle) and devoted Pappy to grandchildren Brayden, Leah, Hayley, Chloe and Easton.
Mike is survived by his brother Ormand (Bud); sister in law Joanne, brother Dale. Predeceased by his brother Kenneth and infant sister Dora Anne.
Mike was a kind and gentle man, he will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and his many friends.
Rest in peace my dear Mike, until we meet again.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday August 9th from 1pm to 4pm at the Collingwood Legion, 490 Ontario Street Collingwood.
