A heart of gold has stopped beating on July 24th 2024. Mario Zalewski passed with great courage and dignity at the age of 90 years and four months
He was the devoted and loving husband to the late Jeannette F. Howell for 57 years. Mario was the proud father of 7 children. Suzanne (john), the late George L., Roger, Robert (Kathy), Anna (Jean-Pierre), Liliane (Claude) and Michael. He was the Grampa to 17 grandchildren and the great-Grampa to 30. What à Legacy!
He lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasure, sharing stories from the past with friends and family. He enjoyed reading his Gazette and train magazines and sharing good food.
Grampa had the great ability to reach people in deep and positive ways. He always gave the best advice and would listen if you need to talk.
Family and friends will say their last goodbyes with a celebration honoring the legend that we all call Grampa

Il était l’époux dévoué et aimant de feu Jeannette F. Howell pendant 57 ans. Mario était l’heureux père de 7 enfants. Suzanne (john), feu George L., Roger, Robert (Kathy), Anna (Jean-Pierre), Liliane (Claude) et Michael. Il était le grand-père de 17 petits-enfants et l’arrière-grand-père de 30 petits-enfants. Quelle légende!
Il vivait pleinement sa vie grâce aux simples plaisirs, partageant des histoires du passé avec ses amis et sa famille. Il aimait lire sa Gazette et ses magazines ferroviaires et de la bonne nourriture.
Grampa avait la grande capacité d’atteindre les gens de manière profonde et positive. Il donnait toujours les meilleurs conseils et écoutait si vous aviez besoin de parler.
La famille et les amis feront leurs derniers adieux lors d’une célébration en l’honneur de la légende que nous appelons tous Grampa
