It is with deep sorrow that we share news of Patricia Anne Turvey’s passing.
Born in Hillingdon, England, to her dear parents Sydney Douglas Turvey and Ivy Florence Hunt, Pat emigrated to Canada in 1957, arriving in Vancouver, British Columbia. An artist, Pat would go on to live in cities and towns across Canada with then husband Colin Neale, before returning for a time to the UK and later settling in Peterborough and Kemptville, Ontario.
She was a devoted mother to Susan Neale (the late Paul Hulsmans), Andrew Neale (Jennifer Graham) and Christina Neale (Tony Brisindi) before nurturing the dreams and imaginations of her beloved grandchildren Owen, Kathryn and Evan.
A lover of all living creatures, Pat’s affinity with and appreciation for the natural world — for animals, plants, flowers and the earth we share — was profound, finding expression in her art and devotion to the ideals of peace, respect and caring for others. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private ceremony in honour of Pat will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, Pat’s family respectfully asks that you please consider a donation to Operation Smile or a local food bank, shelter or youth services organization.
