Luke LaPierre Obituary
It is with broken hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Luke Anthony James LaPierre, which occurred on Sunday, July 14th, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on March 24th, 2001, in Canmore, AB, he is the son of John and Sherry (Bourque) LaPierre. Luke attended St. Malachy’s High School and worked as a Carpenter. He enjoyed playing video games, going to the beach, swimming, camping and cooking. He loved animals and hand raised goats from 3 days old. He gave the best bear hugs and he never left a room without saying I Love You. Family was most important to him and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, Luke is survived by his siblings Mikailyn LaPierre of Saint John, Ashlin LaPierre of Saint John, Matthew LaPierre of Nova Scotia and Taniel Chiasson of Saint John; maternal grandmother Corrine Bourque; paternal grandmother Patricia LaPierre-Cuppens; aunt Nancy Fosmark (Dennis); uncles Ricky Bourque, Dan LaPierre (Tricia), Edward LaPierre (Crystal); nieces and nephews Rohnan, Aria, Maddie-Lynn, Carson and Rydar; best friends Tobias, Spencer, Josh and Sam; special friend Rene; as well as great aunts and great uncles, several cousins and friends. Luke was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Edgar, paternal grandfathers John and Lou and aunts April & Crystal Bourque.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, July 18th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Friday, July 19th at 2 p.m. Donations in memory of Luke may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, SPCA-Animal Rescue or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
