The family is sad to announce her passing at Idlewyld Manor, Hamilton, Ontario.
Jeanine is reunited with the “love of her life”, husband of 45 years, Robert (Bob) Beattie (2017). Loving Mom to the late Denise Fitzpatrick (1996), Victoria and Scott MacDonald, the late Rob (2021) and daughter in law Renee Beattie. Beloved Nanny to Alison, Megan, Kevin, Adrian, Marissa, Taryn, Tyler, Sierra, and Kayla. Great Nanny to Kobe, Malichai, Denise, Mya, Devin, Xavier, Daphne, Macey, Peyton, Theo and Great, Great Nanny to Khasius. Jeanine was predeceased by her parents Richard (Dick) and Leona Corbett. Sister to the late Patricia Gilbert (2007), Leone and the late Fred Doucette(2018), Dennis and Donna Corbett, Audrae Ann Corbett, Theresa and Bill Dunlop, Richard and Dianne Corbett. Sister in law to the late June and the late Jim Browne. Jeanine will be missed by the extended Beattie and Corbett families. Jeanine worked as a telephone operator for 33 years, working for Bell Canada, ARC Answering Service, Brantford and PasWord Communications. Thank you to Dr. K. Chan and the staff at Idlewyld Manor for their kindness and compassionate care over the years. Although her body was failing her, she had a sharp mind up until her final days. She and the staff enjoyed their daily interactions and comradery becoming more of a second family to her. Family and friends will be received at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave., (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Wednesday July 17th from 5 – 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday July 18th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
