Bernice Bradbury
October 3, 1950 – February 16, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bernice Bradbury announces her sudden passing in her family home in Gander Bay on February 16th, 2023.
She was predeceased by her parents Mary Anne and Douglas Blake, her daughter Shelley Bradbury (Chatman), brothers Harry Blake and Harold Blake, sisters Dorothy Hodder, Elsie Hodder, and Gertie Eastman, her grandson Tristen Bradbury, sister-in-law June Blake and niece Nancy Francis.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her partner of 30 years David Gillingham, who became step father to her children, as well as the children’s father Walter Bradbury. She also leaves to mourn her daughters Sheryl (Corey) and Mindy (Aaron), as well as her sons Adam (Lisa) and Luke. Also surviving are her grandchildren Tenisha, Dakhota, Nicholas, Taryn and Addison.
She also leaves behind her sisters Lillian (Woodrow), Margaret (late Gordon), Janet (Sandy), Betty (Ralph), and her brothers Calvin (Barb), and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
A visitation for family and close friends will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Wing’s Point (the current venue for Pentecostal Church, Wing’s Point)Wednesday February 22, at 7pm to 9pm.
Funeral for Family and Close friends will take place from the Holy Trinity Church, Wing’s Point Gander Bay, Thursday February 23, at 11am followed by interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Wing’s Point, Gander Bay.
As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to family to be given to a non-profit charitable organization that their mother would have supported.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander/Carmanville.
