It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cecelia, in her 91st year, at Hamilton General Hospital. Cecelia is now reunited with her beloved husband and soulmate, George. A wonderful mother, she was a constant example of warmth, kindness, and love to George (Annette) and MaryAnn. Cherished and proud grandmother of Dawn (Jay), Christopher (Lindsay), Stephen (Jenn), Sarah (Andrew) and Rebecca. Loving Nana to her great grandchildren Cole, Mason, William, Grace, Preston, Damien, Nolan, Alexander, and Sophie.
Cecelia will be missed by her many friends and relatives, but most especially by her lifelong friend, Anne as well as by Paula, John, and Nada. She was very grateful for your companionship and care and the family is thankful for the light you brought into her life.
The family also wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Drs. Martin and Jalayer and the staff of Hamilton General Hospital’s ER trauma and cardiac units for their compassionate and wonderful care. A special thank you to her family physician, Dr. Junaid for his care over the years.
Visitors will be received at P.X Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave, (between Mohawk and Fennell), on Monday, July 15, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 620 Rymal Road E, on Tuesday, July 16, at 10:00 o’clock.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Healthcare.
