Joseph (Joe) Alfred Le Breton husband of Dorothy (Dot) Anne (née Killam) from Bathurst NB, 83 years old, passed away on the 9th of July 2024. He was born in 1941 to Albert Le Breton and Emma (née Brideau) from Tracadie, NB.
In his early years, he helped his dad who worked in the woods as a woodworker, moved to Montréal in his mid teens (1957), drove a cab in Montreal, played in bands, and met the love of his life, Dot, and they married in 1965. After many moves across Canada, he assumed many leadership roles such as Branch and Division Manager of Electrolux (70’s, 80’s, 90’s), he also served as chef/cook for various locations and then retired from “normal” work to become a foster parent. He retired from fostering in 2021.
He is survived by his spouse, Dorothy (Killam), his three children, Brian Le Breton (partner with Tanya) of Borden, ON, Kathleen (married to Danny Daigle) of Rough Waters, NB and Joel Le Breton (partner with Michelle) of Greenwood, NS.
He is also survived by six brothers, Emile (predeceased by wife Lorraine) and Edward of Miramichi, NB, Romeo (married to Colleen) of Lower Derby, NB, Marcel (married to Opal) of Lakeville, NB, Aurel (married to Linda) of Lower Coverdale, NB and Arthur (married to Janice) of Owen Sound, ON. He is also survived by his sister Margaret (married to Douglas Hockin) of Angus, ON. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He is predeceased by his twin sister Marguerite, his sister Juliet, his brothers Albert and Edmond.
The remains are at Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst, NB. The wake will be held Sunday at 7 pm and the funeral will be held Monday at 11 am at Holy Family Catholic Church with the reception in the church basement hall following mass.
