Rolf W. Schmidt-Holzmann, 95 of Etobicoke, Ontario died July 8, 2024.
He was born October 30, 1928 to Karl and Helene Schmidt (nee Holzmann) in Krefeld, Germany. Rolf moved to Canada in 1954 and had a long successful career with Sun Life as an agent and financial consultant.
Rolf was preceded in death by spouses Christina (nee von dem Knesebeck), died Feb 20, 1976 and Xenia (nee Divall), died March 13, 2018, as well as 3 brothers, one step brother and 2 step sisters.
He passed away at home with his 3 daughters at his side.
Rolf is survived by brothers Peter and Jochen, sister Renate, daughters Helen (David) & Petra, step-daughter Lisa (Alec), step-son Andrew, 12 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be July 19 from 4 to 7 pm with some Moments of Reflection to be shared at 6 pm by his 3 daughters at Turner and Porter Funeral Home – Yorke Chapel.
Private family interment will take place July 22.
Charitable Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Canadian Red Cross, Salvation Army or Canadian Cancer Society.
