Owl, Bernadette (nee Mitchell), passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Southampton Hospital Tuesday July 9, 2024 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late Ernest “Amigo” Owl. Loving mother to Merissa, Martha, Maryann (Sunny). Proud grandmother of Justin, Summer, Larissa, Sineese, Emma, Bronson, and Jaxon. Survived by her siblings, Fred (Gina), Dorothy (Sam), Gordy (Andrea) and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Wellington & Louisa Mitchell, and by her siblings, Mary, Deloras, Doreen, Jerimiah, Esau, Reg, and Jonah and Thelma, and by her first husband Jerry Thompson.
Visitation at the Scotch Settlement Full Gospel Church, 222 Scotch Settlement Rd, Saugeen First Nation on Thursday July 11, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and also on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service for Bernadette will be held at the Church on Saturday July 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at French Bay Cemetery.
